Pasta Salad Bowl with Homemade Tuna Salad and Avocado Recipe

Healthy and Easy  Salad Bowl Recipe with Pesto Pasta, Tuna Salad, and Avocado

Here you get the recipe for an amazing and delicious salad bowl with pesto covered pastas, homemade tuna salad, and lots of vegetables. A healthy and fulfilling dinner with lots of yummy flavor in under half an hour!




Tuna Salad

9.88 oz (280 g) tuna, canned

5 tablespoons creme fraiche

1 teaspoon lemon juice



2.65 oz (75 g) fresh spinach

10 cherry tomatoes

1.41 oz (40 g) pickled red onions

1 avocado

3.53 oz (100 g) sugar snap peas

0.25 bundle fresh dill

Pasta Salad

7.05 oz (200 g) fusilli pasta

3 tablespoons green pesto



  1. Cook pasta in generously salted water according to packaging instructions.
  2. Drain tuna and mix it up with the creme fraiche. Taste with salt, pepper, and lemon juice.
  3. Slice cherry tomatoes in halves with your KUMA Paring Knife and slice avocado into thin strips.
  4. Drain pasta from water when it’s done cooking and add soak them briefly in cold water to cool them off a bit. Then drain again and mix them up with the pesto.
  5. Build your salad bowls with spinach in the bottom. Then add tuna salad, cherry tomatoes, sugar snap peas, avocado, pickled red onions, and pesto pasta salad on top. Finally, garnish with fresh dill on top.

Pasta Salad with tuna

We love adding pasta to our salads. This way the salad bowl is way more fulfilling and interesting. Alternatively, bulgur, quinoa or something of that manner also works perfectly in your salad bowl. You can also add baked sweet potatoes to it. If you want it even more fulfilling you can consider using wholegrain pasta instead.


What ingredients are good for a dinner salad?

In this salad bowl recipe we have used pastas covered in green pesto, and then we’ve added avocado, cherry tomatoes, sugar snap peas, pickled red onions, and our homemade tuna salad. However, you can use any vegetables you want. Ingredients such as cucumber, edamame beans, peas, carrots, corn, zucchini etc. all taste amazing in a salad bowl. Sometimes we like to top it off with a creme fraiche dressing, chili sauce, or a chili mayo in addition to some fresh herbs such as the dill we’ve used in this recipe.
