Lasagnette Recipe

Prep time: 10 minutes — Cook time: 40 minutes — Total time: 50 minutes — Serving: 2 people

Description

An easy lasagnette made with small fusilli or penne pasta instead of the traditional lasagna noodles. If you want it more healthy you can use wholegrain pasta. Easy and delicious weekday dinner that doesn’t require a lot of ingredients nor time in the kitchen. What’s not to like?!

Ingredients

1 yellow onion

1.5 garlic cloves

8.82 oz (250 g) ground beef

7.05 oz (200 g) diced tomato, canned

1 teaspoon dried basil

0.5 teaspoon ground cumin

1 teaspoon onion powder

0.5 teaspoon paprika

1.23 oz (35 g) tomato purée

0.5 tablespoon corn starch

0.5 chicken bouillon cube

0.5 cups (1.3 dl) milk

0.5 cups (1.3 dl) water

3.53 oz (100 g) fusilli or penne pasta

1 fresh mozzarella

Directions

  1. Turn on oven to 390 F (200 C). Find your favorite KUMA knife and cut onion and garlic to fine pieces.
  2. Add oil or butter to a pot and sauté garlic and onion.
  3. Add ground beef and fry until it’s cooked. Now add spices, corn starch and crumble in a chicken bouillon cube.
  4. Add diced tomatoes, water and milk and bring to a boil for about 5 minutes.
  5. Taste with salt/pepper.
  6. Boil your pasta according to box instructions. When cooked, add it into the pot with meat, mix it around, and then add the entire mixture into an oven-safe casserole that’s been greased up with a bit of oil or butter to prevent the lasagnette from burning to the sides of the casserole.
  7. Bake at 390 degrees F (200 C) for 30 minutes. Then remove the casserole from oven, sprinkle over the fresh mozzarella and put the casserole back into the oven for another 5-7 minutes.
  8. Remove the casserole from oven and let it rest for 5-10 minutes before serving. Enjoy!
