Ingredients

Asian Pork Tenderloin

2 tablespoons chili sauce

2 tablespoons soy sauce

2 tablespoons brown sugar

2 garlic cloves

0.5 inches fresh ginger

9.7 oz (275 g) pork tenderloin

Salad Bowl

1 avocado

3.53 oz (100 g) cherry tomatoes

0.5 fresh chili

1.76 oz (50 g) fresh spinach

6 radishes

1 mango

0.5 bundle spring onion

0.35 oz (10 g) sesame seeds

Directions

Aisan Marinated Pork

  1. We start by making the Asian pork. Use your razor sharp KUMA kitchen knife to cut ginger and garlic into very fine pieces. KUMA Paring Knife can be used to very easily peel the ginger.
  2. Add the finely cut ginger and garlic to a bowl and mix in chili sauce, soy sauce, and brown sugar.
  3. Trim the pork tenderloin from any pieces you don’t want to eat. Then cut it into thin slices (about 0.1 inches (2-3 mm.) thickness) with your favorite KUMA knife.
  4. Place the thin pork slices in your marinade and let it rest for 30 minutes.

Salad Bowls

  1. Wash the spinach and put aside. Then chop, slice, and cut the various vegetables for your salad bowls. You can use our recipe image for inspiration for how we like to cut each vegetable if you wish.
  2. Heat up a pan with some oil. It has to be very warm.
  3. Give the marinated pork slices a quick fry for about 4 minutes. Be careful as it’ll sizzle quite a bit due to the marinate.
  4. Now we build our bowls by first adding spinach into bowls. Then add mango, spring onion, cherry tomato, radishes, avocado, and fresh chili. Finally, place the hot thin cuts of Asian pork slices on top and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
    Serve immediately. Enjoy!

This recipe for salad bowls with Asian tenderloin cuts is something we’ve been looking forward to sharing with you all. That’s because it has become one of our favorite things to make for dinner (or lunch). It is easy, delicious, and good for your health. On top of all the fresh and delicious vegetables we add our Asian pork, and it’s not just any pork. We use tenderloin sliced to paper thin perfection with a razor sharp KUMA Chef’s Knife and then we marinate each slice of meat in our homemade marinade consisting of garlic, ginger, soy, and brown sugar. The longer the meat gets to marinate, the better.

Healthy dinner ideas

A salad bowl is perfect if you’re looking for healthy dinner ideas. We have made our bowl with fresh spinach, mango, radishes, spring onion, cherry tomatoes, and avocado. However you can make the salad out of the ingredients you wish. For example, something like pomegranate, edamame beans or sugar snap peas would go perfectly in a salad bowl like this.

Can I use something other than brown sugar for my pork marinade?

Yes, you could for example replace the brown sugar with honey. However brown sugar has the benefit that when you cook the meat on high heat, it gives you a gorgeous and crisp surface. Therefore we recommend using brown sugar if you can get some.

We promise you it’s worth it. The combination of the sour and sweet in the marinade is so good. At the same time it’s also important your pan is super hot when you cook the pork. That’s because it just needs a quick fry and will actually finish cooking really quickly due to how thin it is cut.

This healthy salad dish has quickly become one of our favorites. It is simple to make, healthy and tasty, and just requires a few ingredients. It’s a perfect example for how you can make a salad suuuuper tasty and interesting.

Meal prepping ideas

If you like us are always looking for some great meal prepping ideas, this salad bowl is a good one as you can easily scale up all the different ingredients and build your meals. You can either cook a large portion of the Asian pork, freeze down the thin slices in portions, and then you’ll just need to chop fresh vegetables next time you want a salad bowl. Or you could build the entire bowls right away and eat it for the next few days as both the meat and veggies will stay good in the fridge. In that case we just recommend that you ensure the veggies aren’t too wet when you meal prep as it’ll last longer in the fridge that way.
