Ingredients

9.88 oz (280 g) chicken breast

2 garlic cloves

1 yellow onion

10.58 oz (300 g) carrots

2 teaspoons tomato purée

3 teaspoons paprika

0.85 cups (2 dl) water

1 chicken bouillon cube

0.42 cups (1 dl) cooking cream

7.05 oz (200 g) rice

0.25 bundle fresh parsley

Directions

  1. Boil rice according to box instructions.
  2. Grab your favorite KUMA kitchen knife and slice chicken breast into strips.
  3. Smash and then chop garlic finely. Dice onion in fine cuts. Peel carrots and cut them into sizes resembling a coin.
  4. Heat up a pan with oil and sauté onion and garlic until soft.
  5. Add paprika to give it a quick fry but keep watch that it doesn’t burn. Do the same with tomato purée. This helps activate the flavors.
  6. Now add chicken and cook it until it gets color. Then add carrots.
  7. Crumble bouillon cube into water, stir to dissolve, and then add to the pan.
  8. Let everything simmer for about 5 minutes on medium heat.
  9. Add cooking cream and taste with salt and pepper. Let it all simmer a bit more.
  10. With your KUMA knife cut parsley to fine pieces.
  11. Serve with rice, chicken in paprika sauce, and top off with chopped fresh parsley. Enjoy!

Paprika infused sauce

The chicken breast is a perfect fit for a paprika sauce this one. It’s mild taste fits the sauce beautifully. We have chosen to make a paprika sauce with garlic, tomato purée, cooking cream, and then add in our carrots. It’s a mild sauce that just tastes great with chicken and rice.

You can easily add other vegetables if you desire. Bell pepper, beans, peas or zucchini would go great in this recipe. This is a meal that’s perfect for emptying out the fridge with whatever you may have available.
