Recipe for pita-pizzas (do we call it pitza?)

Easy recipe for pita pizzas with Serrano ham, pizza sauce, cheese, and rucola. This is a great go-to dinner when you want something yummy, fun, and super quick.

It’s always a hit after a long day at work, and the better pita breads you get, the better your pizza will become.

What’s a fun pizza to make for kids?

We started making pita-pizzas with Serrano in my family when I was a kid. It was kind of a luxury meal that you could have served really quickly when you came home after a long school day. It stuck with me, and to this day I still make it when time is tight, when I want something simple with few ingredients, or just for fun. Because it is a fun meal to make and kids love it, too. It’s an easy recipe for kids to participate in. With that said, before I had children of my own this was still one of our go-to meals when my better half and I came home late from work and wanted a delicious and fast 20 minute dinner.

What other toppings are good on these pizzas?

You can use any pizza topping you normally would. Ham, chicken, bacon, beef, or pepperoni are all great for these pizzas. Now we’re going to split the waters a little: We love Hawaiian pizza so we often make a version with ham and pineapple.
